David Harvey, a geographer by training, is currently Director of the Center for Place, Culture, and Politics and a Distinguished Professor in the Anthropology Program of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He formerly held positions at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Oxford. His most recent books are The Enigma of Capital and A Companion to Marx’s Capital.
