Last week, Marxist-Humanist writer and economist Andrew Kliman recently led a seminar on “Combatting the Ongoing Trumpist/White-Nationalist Threat: Marxist-Humanism vs. the Anti-Neoliberal ‘Left.’” He put forward main themes of Marxist-Humanist Initiative’s recent Perspectives theses, updated to reflect new challenges we face in the aftermath of the Trumpites’ January 6 Capitol insurrection.
The talk was followed by a substantial discussion period, during which Zoom participants engaged with the presentation. The video of the seminar is below.
The seminar was hosted by the SSK Research Team of Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, as part of its “2021 SSK Global Marxism” series. Vladimir Tikhonov of Oslo University served as moderator. It started at 10 am on Thursday, May 20 (Korean Standard Time) and ran for about an hour and a half.
