New Yorkers March for Immigrant Rights at U.N.

Immigrants in New York City demonstrated on Dec. 18  against Trump’s plans to decimate the immigrant community in the U.S. Hundreds of Latinos, Muslims, Asians and others marched outside the United Nations in the pouring rain, calling for justice and the right to remain. Taking part were unions, immigrant rights groups, workers centers, workers’ support organizations, and community-based groups. The march was sponsored by the NY Immigration Coalition.

While the daily protests by all kinds of New Yorkers that followed the election have abated, immigrants’ and women’s rights groups have continued to turn out often with the message to stop Trump and Trumpism.
