Un seminario web en celebración de la publicación reciente de Reivindicando El Capital de Marx: Una refutación del mito de su incoherencia––la traducción a castellano de Reclaiming Marx’s “Capital”: A Refutation of the Myth of Inconsistency, por Andrew Kliman––tomará lugar el viernes 6 de mayo del 2022. El seminario web iniciará a las 5 p.m. (17:00 h), hora de España (lo que a su vez serán las 4 p.m. en el Reino Unido, las 12 medio día en Argentina, 11 a.m. en la costa este de EEUU, etc.).
Los panelistas invitados incluyen a Juan Pablo Mateo, Profesor de Economía de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid; Julio C. Gambina, un economista argentino asociado con la Sociedad Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Economía Política y Pensamiento Crítico (SEPLA); y Kliman, el autor del libro. El seminario web será conducido en castellano, aunque Kliman hablará en inglés y una traducción en vivo de sus comentarios será proporcionada.

El libro busca reivindicar El Capital del mito de inconsistencia interna, un mito que sirve para justificar la censura de la crítica de la política económica de Marx y la investigación actual basada en ella. Kliman demuestra que las supuestas inconsistencias son más bien causadas por malinterpretación.
El seminario web está siendo auspiciado por Ruptura, un grupo interdisciplinario de profesores a lo largo de España que está dedicado a la teoría crítica al servicio de la transformación social.
A webinar celebrating the recent publication of Reivindicando el Capital de Marx: Una Refutación del Mito de su Incoherencia––the Spanish translation of Reclaiming Marx’s “Capital”: A Refutation of the Myth of Inconsistency, by Andrew Kliman––will take place on Friday, May 6. The webinar will begin at 5 pm, Spanish time (which is 4 pm in the UK, noon in Argentina, 11 am on the east coast of the US, etc.).
Featured speakers include Juan Pablo Mateo, professor of economics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid; Julio C. Gambina, an Argentine economist associated with the Sociedad Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Economía Política y Pensamiento Crítico (SEPLA); and Kliman, the book’s author. The webinar will be conducted in Spanish, although Kliman will speak in English and live translation of his remarks will be provided.

The book seeks to reclaim Capital from the myth of internal inconsistency, a myth that serves to justify the censorship of Marx’s critique of political economy and present-day research based upon it. Kliman shows that the alleged inconsistencies are actually caused by misinterpretation.
The webinar is being hosted by Ruptura, an interdisciplinary group of professors throughout Spain that is dedicated to critical theory in service of social transformation.
