ChatRFH: Special 100th Episode of Radio Free Humanity

by MHI

Radio Free Humanity, the Marxist-Humanist podcast series sponsored by Marxist-Humanist Initiative and co-hosted by Brendan Cooney and Andrew Kliman, first went on air on September 26, 2019. The initial episode featured a segment on “Obama-Trump voters.”

Now, four years later, Radio Free Humanity is about to celebrate a major milestone, its 100th episode. To commemorate the occasion, a special event will be held on Sunday, September 10, from 1 to 3 pm, Eastern Daylight Time (US)—ChatRFH: Special 100th Episode of Radio Free Humanity. The event, which will be streamed live, will feature dialogue, via the “chat,” between the online audience and the co-hosts. (It will also be recorded and posted, so people who are unable to attend the event will be able to watch it.) Participation is open to all.

Episodes of Radio Free Humanity are generally released every other Friday, but ChatRFH will take place on Sunday to facilitate audience participation. And only one additional episode will be released between now and September 10—Ep. 99, which is slated for release on August 18. This schedule gives us time to get ready for the special 100th-episode event.

How to Watch ChatRFH & Participate in the Chat

ChatRFH will be broadcast using Zoom. To join the broadcast and submit your questions and comments to the chat during it, please click the following link:

or open Zoom and log in with Meeting ID # 996 7947 8551 and passcode 519899.

You are also welcome to submit your questions and comments ahead of time, by emailing them to ChatRFH.ep100@gmail.com by September 8.

Selected comments and questions—both those submitted in the chat during the broadcast and those submitted by email ahead of time—will be displayed in the chat window, read aloud, and addressed by the co-hosts. When selecting messages to discuss, we will take into consideration whether they are appropriate, their length (not too long, please), their topic (we hope to address a variety of topics), and the amount of time we have left to engage with them.

If you are unable to participate in the Zoom broadcast, you can watch the ChatRFH episode on YouTube, where it will be streamed live (and available as a video recording thereafter).

This article will be updated with additional information as further details are worked out. Please continue to check it for information on matters such as the platform we will use for ChatRFH, login instructions, and suggested discussion topics. First update: Aug. 27, 2023.
